- 2 cups filtered water
- 1 green tea bag
- 1 medium lemon
- 1/2 medium cucumber
- 1- inch piece fresh ginger root
- 8 –10 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tbsp raw honey optional
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar optional
- Ice cubes optional
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, remove from heat, add the green tea bag, and steep for 3–5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and allow the tea to cool.
Wash and prepare the fresh ingredients: juice the lemon, slice the cucumber, peel and slice the ginger, and crush the mint leaves.
In a glass pitcher, combine the cooled green tea, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar (if using), cucumber slices, ginger slices, and mint leaves.
Add the remaining cup of cold filtered water and honey if desired. Stir well.
Refrigerate for 1–2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to infuse.
Serve chilled, either strained or with the cucumber and ginger pieces, over ice if desired.
